Quests in Niffelheim are tasks the player can complete to earn rewards.
Basics[ | ]
To start a quest, the player can interact with a character. Some quests, like the early game tutorial quests and ultimatums, are activated automatically.
All quests require the player to gather or craft items and can be completed after the player obtains these items. If the player has the required items in their inventory or storage when they receive the quest the quest can be completed immediately.
Most quests have no time limits and reward the player for completing them, with the exception of ultimatums.

Ultimatums[ | ]
The ultimatums are sent and accepted automatically. Each ultimatum has a 24-minute timer and does not reward the player for completing it.
If the player fails to complete an ultimatum before its timer runs out, they will get a penalty (a skeleton horde attack on their Castle or Drought lasting several days).
